10th Anniversary Season

California, one of the most socio-economically and culturally diverse states, is alive with innovation and creativity. SCDF aspires to embody this thriving ecology. Focused on unveiling cutting-edge new dance works, preserving traditions, and sharing culture, SCDF showcases choreography and artistry to represent the state's unique and vibrant dance landscape. This festival provides a platform for choreographers to present their work that inspires conversation among artists and audiences alike, cultivating a strong and supportive network within the dance community.​

SBCC Dance presents Collective Collaborative 2023, now in its 8th year. This two-day festival brings together professional and pre-professional dance companies from the Santa Barbara area and Southern California. Collective Collaborative gives a free opportunity for smaller dance companies to present their work. Our goal is to bring a more diverse and inclusive group of artists to the Santa Barbara community. This Festival is sponsored by the Santa Barbara Cultural Arts Grant.

A night of dance appreciation, featuring the works of some of Santa Barbara's newest choreographer's. Be Momentum has gathered together an array of pre-professional and professional choreographers to create original works for our First Annual Choreography Showcase.

In addition to these inspired performances, our attendees will also get to enjoy guest performers from the dance community that have impacted the development of dance in Santa Barbara for years.​

The MixMatch Dance Festival has been a staple performance space for many Los Angeles dancers since 2006. Inviting all dance forms and styles to one stage, welcoming dancers from across the US, MixMatch is one of the largest, most diverse dance festival that can be found. It's truly one of a kind. Now that we've come to the other side of going dark for a couple years, we're all ready for a comeback!

The 4th Annual Inland Empire Dance Festival presented by the Inland Empire Contemporary Ballet & Inland Empire Magazine benefitting the IE Contemporary Ballet Scholarship. This amazing day of dance will include FREE Jazz & a Modern Dance Workshop’s presented by: Maura Townsend & Jazz Spectrum Dance Company beginning at 1:00 pm & 2:30 pm.

Professional dance performances at 5:00 pm by various dance companies such as; IE Contemporary Ballet, Maura Townsend Dance Company, Kenneth Walker Dance Project, 11th Hour Dancer, Calliopus Contemporary Dance, Jazz Spectrum Dance Company, Refract Dance Company, Fuse Dance Company, Salt Dance Company & many more!
